Handmade Bath Luxuries

Sometime last winter I decided to start making gifts for my friends. I decided to try sugar scrubs and bath salts to start, but quickly discovered that the sugar scrub doesn't ship very well. The salts worked well and I will keep that on my gift list, but not the sugar scrub. I then moved into bar soap and while I don't make every bit of it from hand, it's still a nice gesture that people enjoy. I buy a big block of soap base from Michaels Arts & Crafts for about $10 and can make a fair number of bars. You can add colouring, fragrance, herbs if you'd like and in one case I also added very fine glitter. I tried a liquid soap kit, but didn't like it as much.
